For the price of admission to two or three main attractions, the Sydney Unlimited Attractions Pass (1300/366476 seesydneypass.iventurecard.com) gets you into 40 Sydney sights and attractions, including the Opera House, Sydney Aquarium, and harbor cruises. Several different cards are available, including three- and seven-day versions. Some cards can even include public transportation. Prices start at A$239 for a three-day adult card without transportation. Cards are available from the Sydney Visitor Centre at The Rocks.

NSW Transport operates all of the Sydney trains, buses, and ferries and sells the MyZone tickets (13–1500 www.transportnsw.info), which include MyBus, MyTrain, andMyFerry tickets. A daily ticket is A$24; a weekly is A$48 for Zone 1. The AirportLink rail service and sightseeing buses are not included in the price. If you are planning on using public transport for more than two or three trips consider buying an opal card (it's similar to Oyster in London or Octopus in Hong Kong), which covers buses, trains, ferries and light rail—tap it against the card reader at wharves, stations, and on buses and tap off again at the end of your journey. You can buy an opal card at most convenience stores and newsagents (from A$10) and top it up at machines at train stations, wharves, and light rail stops, online at www.opal.com.au, or by calling 13–6725.
